2025 Fall Callout and Social
September 3, 2025
President Autumn Kudlack informed attendees what TAMU ECS does as an organization as well as gave a roadmap for the upcoming semester. Then, interested students mingled with current members over pizza and games.
2025 Lab Olympics
August 23, 2025
Co-hosted with ERS, Chemistry GSAC, and ChEGSA.
Students competed in teams of 4-5 to be the best in seven lab-related events. Each event had its own placement which contributed to overall point totals. First place went to the Quantum Rizzlers from the Chemistry Department!
Visit to Arbin Instruments
August 22, 2025
TAMU ECS toured Arbin Instruments to learn how they are on the forefront of developing electrochemical analysis technology. Students also learned how the software worked so they could implement it in their research.
ECS Trivia
May 29, 2025
ECS members competed against each other to answer twenty six questions correctly and quickly. Questions ranged from electrochemistry history as well as specific subjects. Member Jenna Vito was the winner!
Art of Electrochemistry

Invited speaker Dr. Martin Sentmanat taught ECS members what a graphical abstract is and how to make one. Then members practiced with their own data to construct the perfect graphic.
Joy Jam with WISE

TAMU ECS collaborated with WISE, ChEGSA, GSAC, SPE, and SPS to host an event students could either study or relax. This was before finals week, so students could choose which activity they wanted to feel best prepared for their exams.
UT ECS Visit to Texas A&M
April 5, 2025
Student from the University of Texas came to visit A&M! They heard about research from the labs of Dr. Perla Balbuena, Dr. Ying Li, Dr. Lane Baker, Dr. Jodie Lutkenhaus, and Dr. Abdoualye Djire. Students then enjoyed the company of each other and cemented friendships across the A&M/UT rivalry.
2025 Night @ the Zach

Students from all across the state came to participate in the Texas Science & Engineering Fair (TXSEF) in front of the Zachary Engineering Education Complex. ECS members showed visitors how Lite Brite® toys work as well as circuits in series and in parallel.
Presentation Night

ECS members made short presentations about electrochemistry and lab work. Some were informative, and some were just humorous. A fun night was had all around.

2024 Chemistry Open House

ECS holds a booth at the Chemistry Open House event focused on the Picture Perfect Chemistry. ECS explained how "Pictures with Light" are made on Lite Brites® through a demonstration of the circuitry.
College of Engineering Tailgate

BTHO Missouri! During the tailgate, the ECS chapter had a booth with a demonstration of how batteries work using electrolyte drinks.

ECS holds a booth at the Chemistry Open House event focused on the Healing Power of Chemistry. The booth showcased "Electrolytes for Health and Power" with a hands-on demonstration ranking electrolyte drinks based on how effectively they power a light source.
